A TOOWOOMBA blogger's interview with an earthworm has earned her a trip to the London Olympics next month.

Christie McCabe's two entries in the Samsung Global Blogging Competition made people laugh all over the world.

She first talked about her passion - sport - before nose-diving into a kiddie pool.

But it was her profile of the Crows Nest Perseverance Cup worm races that got her over the line.

Her brief was simple - make a 30-second video blog, upload it to the website and hope more people click the link than those of other entrants.

"I'm really excited - I was jumping up and down in the hallway when I heard," she said.

"All I know is that I've won the grand prize and I'm going to London.

"All my flights and accommodation are accounted for and I'm going to be blogging all my experiences I have while at the Olympics."

The prize package includes rubbing shoulders with some of sport's biggest stars and bringing their stories to the people.

"I just couldn't believe it," she said.

"I'm particularly looking forward to the gymnastics and diving, but I'll really love it all."

Ms McCabe will set off on her Olympic adventure on July 25.
