Big bash in Bundy Room
MUSIC lovers have welcomed the arrival of a newborn music venue in the Clarence Valley - the Bundy Room inside the Great Northern Hotel, South Grafton.
Though not much noise was made to promote the launch night on Wednesday, the noise on the night itself was loud and heavy.
No, it certainly could not be called a "soft opening".
Some 70 enthusiasts parted with $10 a head to watch three bands, Headpound, Red Bee and Katabasis, deliver some long-overdue riffs and beats.
Event organiser and room booker Luke Gough said the room would be open to nearly any genre of music, but he was aiming at attracting touring original acts.
Further shows are under negotiation for August and September, but cannot be announced at this stage, he said.
