ALLAN Tyson has been appointed to the Northern NSW Local Health District Board.

The appointment of the senior Grafton Base Hospital campaigner and anesthesiologist was welcomed yesterday by Clarence MP Chris Gulaptis.

"Allan Tyson is not only an excellent medical professional but an extremely effective advocate for Clarence hospitals and other health issues," Mr Gulaptis said.

Mr Gulaptis also congratulated incoming Northern Rivers Health District Board chairman Dr Brian Pezutti on his appointment and thanked Hazel Bridgett for her service.
