Clarence Valley organisation directory goes high tech
A TECHNOLOGICAL breakthrough in how to access information about local services and organisations is being embraced by people across the Clarence Valley.
Recently launched by Clarence Valley Council, the online Clarence Community Directory has become a gateway to community groups, services and facilities operating within the region.
It allows users to browse the directory by using individual categories, or by simply entering a keyword to search the entire database.
Mayor Richie Williamson is encouraging residents to make use of this great new tool available to them.
"The new Clarence Community Directory allows you to connect with sports clubs, charities, schools and other groups that support the local community," he said.
"The directory will ask you first to select your area so that it can find the nearest available organisations.
Council is also encouraging all community-based and not-for-profit organisations that service the Clarence Valley to make sure that their organisation's details are registered and correct. Organisations are also being encouraged to provide more information about their groups if they are registered."
If an organisation is not currently listed or needs its information updated, all it needs to do is email community.directory@clarence.nsw.gov.au".
