Forget planking, everyone’s doing the ‘frozen chook’

FORGET planking, owling and extreme selfies.

The Frozen Chook is where it's at.

How to pull off this master manoeuvre, you ask? Just drop your dacks and hit the deck in a hunched position. Elbows in like the bird itself, and bottom against your calves and you're ready to go.

You'll be surprised just how much you do look like a frozen chook.

If you so choose to take part in their weird craze, you'll be joining many around the globe as they strip off and perch themselves up on random places - all for a selfie for social media.

"It started off as a party trick, and would always get a positive reaction," a representative of the Frozen Chook Facebook page told BuzzFeed News.

"Our friend group has a private Facebook page in which we upload videos and random material to share between ourselves - this is where #frozenchook took off for us."

Well, whatever gets you going, I guess... Time will tell if the Frozen Chook takes off.
