Four teens charged over pursuit

FOUR teenagers have been arrested and charged after engaging police in several pursuits on the north coast yesterday.
About noon, a white Holden Rodeo was stolen from Robina in Queensland.
Hours later the Holden was involved in separate pursuits with police along the Pacific Highway at Woodburn, New Italy and Harwood after failing to stop.
Each pursuit was terminated by police due to safety concerns.
In the town of Ulmarra the Holden was involved in a collision with Toyota Rav4 causing the Toyota to roll onto its side.
The male driver of the Toyota and his passenger were treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Grafton Base Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Police attended the scene and arrested the 16-year-old male driver and three girls aged 13, 14 and 17.
All four were taken to Grafton Police Station where the teenage boy was charged with four counts of police pursuit - not stop - drive recklessly (Skye's Law), negligent driving, driving in a manner dangerous to the public and receiving property stolen outside of NSW.
Meanwhile the three girls were charged with being carried in conveyance.
All four teenagers were refused bail to appear in Grafton Children's Court today.
