Have your say on Marine Parks

PEOPLE who want to give the Federal Government their two cents' worth on the plan for the nation's network of marine parks have their last chance in the next eight weeks.

The final round of public consultation for Environment Minister Tony Burke's plan, including the Coral Sea Marine Park, opened on Wednesday.

Among the changes under the plan were protection of more that a third of all Commonwealth waters.

The 60-day consultation is now under way, and represents the last chance to have a say on the plan.

Visit the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities' website to have your say.
