KARISE Eden has been crowned the first ever Voice of Australia.

The blues singer took out the inaugural title, beating fellow finalists Darren Percival, Sarah De Bono and Rachael Leahcar.

The clearly emotional teen backed up her winner announcement with a performance of the debut single, You Won't Let Me, from her upcoming album to be released on June 26.

The grand final came down to Eden and Coolum's Darren Percival after it was revealed Rachael Leahcar had come in third place and Sarah De Bono had come in fourth.

Eden had dominated the iTunes charts with five songs in the Top 10 since Sunday's show.

It was a star-studded grand final featuring special guest Jimmy Barnes joining his daughter Mahalia and Prinnie Stevens on stage for a rousing performance of River Deep Mountain High.

Each of the finalists sang a duet with their celebrity coaches.

Eden and Seal performed Many Rivers to Cross by Jimmy Cliff while Percival and Keith Urban had a "bromance" moment when they sang Urban's hit Without You.

Joel Madden and De Bono sang a fiery rendition of It Will Rain by Bruno Mars and Delta Goodrem and her "mini me" Rachael Leahcar serenaded the audience with The Prayer.

Channel 9 also used the grand final to announce a second series of The Voice.
