LOCAL music sweethearts The McClymonts last night scooped an ARIA Award.

Shortly before time of print last night, the sisters claimed their ARIA Award in the category of Best Country Album, for their album Two Worlds Collide.

Sisters Sam and Mollie dedicated the gong to their pregnant sister, Brooke, who is due to give birth any day.

"This is for Brooke at home sitting on the couch about to give birth tonight - we did it!" Sam said.

They were up against their Valley colleague Troy Cassar-Daley and his album Home.

Also in the category were Beccy Cole, Catherine Britt and McAlister Kemp.

Artist Gotye scooped more than his fair share of accolades as we went to print last night, winning Best Australian Live Act and Best Pop Release.
