MACLEAN residents should not read too much into the missing water slide at the Maclean Swimming Pool.

The slide, which belonged to the former pool contractors John and Robyn Clarke has been sold to the new contractor Valley Pool Services.

A spokesman for Clarence Valley Council said the slide has been taken down for cleaning and should be back in place when the pool opens again in late September.
