MOVE over Audrey Hepburn and Sophia Lauren - Rockhampton 1950s fashion lover Chloe Churchill is in the running for the Miss Pinup Australia competition.

It's the first time the 25-year-old has entered such a competition and understandably she's a little bit shaky about the whole ordeal.

"It's quite nerve-wracking," said Chloe, or 'Flossy Le Fleur'.

"You are only young once, so why not."

She's already up against 18 other Queensland girls with entries closing September 30.

Chloe said from there, judges pick a couple of girls from each state to go to Sydney for the grand finale.

She said she did a Pinup workshop a few months ago and the photographer from Boogie Boop Dames suggested she enter the competition.

"I've always been into vintage fashion and I even had a vintage-style formal dress," Chloe said. "I've always loved Audrey Hepburn."

She said the opening of Vintage Betty in Rockhampton inspired her further, but she could also link photographs of both her grandmothers in beautiful outfits and her father's love of 1950s music to her love of everything that era.

And Chloe often wears her hair like women did in the 1950s, sparking much attention and comments.

There are six categories in the competition, as well as the Miss Popular Pinup final title that goes with Mr Pinup Australia.
