"SCOOTA" from Copmanhurst dropped into The Daily Examiner office earlier this week to show off a couple of unusual sweet potatoes, home grown in her vegie patch.

Scoota reckons one of her taters has formed the shape of a chicken, while the other weighs in at 3.4kg, the largest she has ever grown.

According to Guiness World Records, the world's heaviest sweet potato (Ipomoea batatas) weighed 37kg on 8 March 2004 and was grown by Manuel Pérez of Spain.
