CALOUNDRA bachelor Aaron Brady had a game plan going into The Bachelorette.

But he would have been even better off if he could have brought his wing man Alby along with him.

"Alby - his full name is Albert James Brady - is my British bulldog," Mr Brady told the Daily.

"He does draw a lot of attention because he's a bulldog. He's quite the little character and he can pull women a lot better than me.

"Sometimes I think people forget I'm holding on to the lead."

Mr Brady, 34, is one of 16 men who will try to make a good first impression on tonight's premiere of the reality dating show.

Former WIN newsreader Georgia Love is the star of the new season and Mr Brady played a humorous mind-reading game to break the ice with the brunette beauty, who is seven years his junior.

"I remember just looking out the window of the limo and that's when the nerves kicked in," he said.

"It was like running out for a big football game.

"She looked very beautiful, had a big smile and was very welcoming. I have no idea what I said after that."

Mr Brady moved to the Coast from Brisbane five years ago and runs his national marketing and promotions business from his Golden Beach home.

But he has struggled to find that special woman in between running his own business and renovating homes in his spare time.

"I've found it is a lot harder to meet people on the Coast as the majority of my friends are still in Brisbane, and it doesn't help that I work from home where it's just me and Albert," he said.

A natural joker, he hopes The Bachelorette's producers show his funny side. To entertain himself, Ms Love and his fellow bachelors at the cocktail party Mr Brady revealed his talent for voice impersonations of everyone from Arnold Schwarzenegger to Christopher Walken, Louis Armstrong and Gollum from Lord of the Rings.

"It's my useless party trick," he said.

"I think she thought I was a bit of a joker, you know, not the serious guy, but I can be serious five per cent of the time."

Also making his debut tonight is Noosa native Ryan Palk, a former member of the Australian sailing team who recently moved to Perth to work as a sailing coach.

The two Coast bachelors help to make up a large, eight-man contingent of current and former Queenslanders on the show this year.

Season two of The Bachelorette premieres tonight at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
