A ROMANIAN couple visiting Australia will appear in Grafton Court this morning charged with more than 20 credit card frauds alleged to have occurred over the past few months in the Grafton and Coffs Harbour districts.
The couple, a man aged 22 and a woman aged 33, were arrested by Grafton police on Friday afternoon acting on information supplied. Sgt Steve Marshall, from Grafton police, made the arrest.
While full details of the couple's modus operandi will be revealed in court, it's alleged they stole credit cards from unsuspecting locals and then accessed their accounts from nearby ATMs.
Police have been on the lookout for the couple for some weeks. The arrest was made in South Grafton.
