NOW there really is no excuse for not having time to get to the gym before it closes.

Jetts Fitness opens its Grafton doors tomorrow and once they're open for business, they won't be shutting.

The unique Jetts Fitness gym will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week - every week.

That means time is no longer a factor for anyone wanting to get fit and improve their shape.

Jetts Fitness owner Scott Cameron opened a Jetts gym in Ballina in March this year and said there was no shortage of people wanting to use his gym at all hours of the day or night.

“We have regulars coming in to train at Jetts at two o'clock in the morning,” he said.

“A lot of the time these people are shift-workers who can't get to sleep if they go straight home.

“Even if they're not shift workers, Jetts provides a level of flexibility that enables people to use our gyms when it suits them.”

Jetts Fitness is a franchise of modern gyms that began in Queensland. They have since expanded into Western Australia and have now begun opening their unique brand of fitness in NSW.

In fact, Ballina and Grafton have been fortunate enough to secure a Jetts Fitness centre even before Sydney has.

Mr Cameron first came across Jetts Fitness when he returned to Queensland from working in New Guinea two years ago.

He said he became a member of Jetts because it was the only gym that gave him the flexibility to train after hours and on weekends.

It didn't take long before Mr Cameron, a helicopter pilot by trade, decided he wanted to become a part of the Jetts family.

“It's a really good business model. As a franchisee, a lot of the guesswork is taken out of it,” he said.

“It's a positive thing, too. Because we're open 24/7 it opens it up to people who can't normally get to a gym.”

Jetts Fitness offers the latest in exercise equipment, focusing on the equipment that members enjoy using most such as treadmills with integrated LCD television screens and a range of modern exercise machines and free weights.

The facility operates on a 24-hour access system that allows gym members to enter the gym by swiping a 'smart' card.

Mr Cameron said Jetts' membership rates were much lower than traditional metropolitan fitness clubs and Jetts Fitness offered 'no contracts' on its memberships.

“Jetts offers an alternative solution to the larger, more expensive clubs,” Mr Cameron said.

“Our research indicated that people were paying for access to extensive change rooms, pools and steam rooms only to never have the time to utilise them.

“By concentrating on providing facilities that the majority of people will use we have been able to bring the highest standard of equipment and facilities to Grafton at an affordable price.”

Mr Cameron said he was also planning to open Jetts gyms in Lismore and Coffs Harbour.

“We have regulars coming in to train at Jetts at two o'clock in the morning.”
