NOW it is certain. It is just not the locals who like to stop by the side of the road and take photographs of Grafton’s iconic jacaranda trees.
International fashion magazine Marie Claire took over a small portion of Grafton’s Kent Street yesterday to do an autumn/winter fashion shoot for an upcoming issue.
Jane Roarty, an executive fashion editor, was on the scene helping with the shoot. She was impressed by the streetscape.
“It is so beautiful and I am so glad we found this location,” she said.
“Lilac is going to be one of the biggest colours of the autumn/winter season so it is exciting to use the beautiful jacaranda blossoms in the shot.”
Jane said Marie Claire tried to take their photographs in different locations around the country to add uniqueness to fashion spreads.
The crew attended the Jacaranda Ball last night and will stay in the Jacaranda City today to experience the festival.
