GDSC general manager Arthur Lysaught outside 96 Mary Street, one of six houses to be auctioned tonight.
SIX properties owned by the Grafton District Services Club will go under the hammer tonight.
The club is off-loading the properties, which surround its Mary Street location, in a bid to help fund its $3 million redevelopment.
The redevelopment includes the total refurbishment of the existing building, plus a new coffee lounge and ‘quiet bar’, an updated kitchen and improved facilities for bowls players.
GDSC general manager Arthur Lysaught expects tonight’s auction will attract between $1.1 and $1.3 million to the club’s coffers.
Four properties in Alice Street, one in Fry Street and Mr Lysaught’s former residence in Mary Street, will be up for grabs at the auction at 6.30pm at the club.
