Judith Little looks at some of the bare and damaged areas of the Maclean Boulevard.
THE deteriorating state of Maclean’s McLachlan Park and the nearby streetscape has local business owners frustrated and wondering how their rates and compulsory fees are being spent.
Resident and business owner Judith Little said she has been fighting for council to maintain the park, with the support of the local community, for more then years.
“It’s our main street, it’s our calling card,” she said.
“All that park ever gets is a mow within an inch of its life on soil that is rubbish.
“It is a small space that is heavily used.”
Mrs Little who has been caring for the park herself said she would like to see council make a small contribution back to the Scottish community by regularly caring for the loved park.
