Craig Phelps, Sam Wilson, Matt O’Meally, Jason Fischer, Carly Wainwright and Brian Hall make up the Big W Bulge Busters team for Clarence Valley Biggest Loser.
GIVING up coffee, chocolate and beer will be the hardest challenge for Biggest Loser competitor Carly Wainwright.
To make it easier Carly has roped in five of her Big W colleagues who are all determined to lose weight and win this year’s competition.
The Big W bulge busters weighed in on Saturday with a combined 591 kilograms but only have two figures on their mind.
The team is determined to get to a combined weight of 511 kilograms by the end of the 12-week challenge. They will do anything to win the $1000 charity donation that will be up for grabs for the team with the highest percentage body loss.
Carly dedicates much of her time to raising money for Sydney Children’s Hospital.
With her sights set on the $1000 cheque for the biggest loser to give to a charity of choice, she is prepared to shed weight to qualify for the prize.
“It is easy money if all I have to do is stop eating unhealthy and start exercising,” a determined Carly said.
“I want that $1000 so bad so I have worked out that I need to lose between 10 and 15 kilograms to have a good weight percentage at the end of it all,” she said.
The night filler is giving up her favourite snacks, starting a new eating regime and has already organised a work-out plan she and workmates can follow in the 15-minute tea break.
The stairs to the Big W lunch room will become all too familiar to the bulge busters as they use them as part of their work-out circuit.
“Most of the team are motivated and driven to do this, so hopefully we will reach our target and get that $1000,” Carly said.
