Can you see me? The Grafton Ghosts who will play in front of a packed house on the Gold Coast.
THERE will be some excited faces among the crowd at tonight’s Gold Coast Titans and West Tigers NRL contest at Skilled Stadium – regardless of who gets the points.
The Grafton Ghosts’ under-9 line-up will get an opportunity that will evade most when they clash with South Grafton at half-time of the top-grade clash.
And coach Peter Young said his young charges could not be more excited about the prospect.
“They are really happy about it,” Young said.
“Playing in front of a crowd and seeing an NRL game is certainly something they are looking forward to.”
The gates for the contest will open about 5.10pm, with the under-20s match soon after.
The main game kicks off at 7.30pm.
The Ghosts have been handed 25 free tickets, so the parents can share in the fun.
“The club has been doing it with South Grafton for a while,” Young said.
“You have to apply and they reserve it for country teams.”
With the trip taking about three hours, the club plans to have a bus leave South Grafton McDonald’s at 2pm today.
