AFTER months of waiting to snap up a ticket to secure a place at the Causley Fresh Gate to Plate Luncheon, the time has finally arrived.
Tickets are now on sale for the September 11 event when The Barn will again be transformed for the day into a five-star dining experience for 300 guests, a food experience unique to the region.
The long luncheon is prepared with the co-operation of the many talented chefs from the region who come together each year to produce an impressive degustation menu from locally produced ingredients as a fundraiser for the Gallery Foundation.
Gallery Foundation chairwoman Lisa Dougherty is pleased to bring the event to the Valley and hopes it is well supported again this year.
“We have been having inquiries for months for the September luncheon and we expect this year's luncheon will again be a sellout,” Ms Dougherty said.
“I urge guests to get their friends together to benefit from the discount offered for purchasing a table of 10, and enjoy this special experience together.
“This fundraising event is dependant on generous local sponsors and a team of dedicated volunteers to make it a success each year.
"It really brings the community together and celebrates something we all love to do ... eat well.”
This year, the support of the Clarence Valley Council, which has moved Clarence Food Month to coincide with the Gate to Plate events, will assist in developing some of the other events held over the weekend to involve the wider community, with a special focus on families.
Tickets for the luncheon can be purchased online at www.gatetoplate.com.au or cheque payments can posted to PO Box 825, Grafton 2460.
Tickets are $135 each.
A discount applies when purchasing a table of 10 in one transaction through the website.
