In search of employers

ONE goal, 100 days to achieve it and the belief it can be done.

The North Coast Grand Employment Challenge is on once again and if your business is on the lookout for new staff it is the perfect time to increase employee numbers.

Employment agency Nortec has launched the 1000 jobs in 100 days campaign which aims to place 1000 jobseekers in the workforce before the campaign ends on November 8.

Rod Huxley, branch manager of the Grafton Nortec office, is aware of the high number of jobseekers listed in the local region. He is encouraging all businesses to get involved with the campaign and fill vacant job positions.

“Last year we had a lot of success with the campaign and managed to get employment for 1000 people,” he said.

“We need employers and we need jobs. Some job seekers are experienced, some have retrained and some are trainees looking to start their careers in the workforce.

“Jobs are important. I'm hopeful we'll see people in need of work gain employment through this campaign.”

Businesses are welcome to submit job vacancies to Nortec. If you are interested in hiring staff, contact Grafton Nortec on 6640 9800.
