Deb Molloy and her fundraising team. Deb will have surgery to relieve her Parkinson’s symptoms.
DEB'S Fight for Parkinson's started with a simple idea. An idea that came from a group of friends - friends who just wanted to help their mate.
We wanted to make people aware of Debbie's struggle and make people aware of Parkinson's disease. It did not matter if we reached our target, we just had to try.
Deb's fight became so much more than raising money. It got people talking. People started to understand. Deb's fight connected her with people and gave others who had similar problems the freedom to talk. More than anything, it united a community.
A community, that we discovered, had Debbie's back covered, that were uniting together to work as one and succeed.
It was through every single donation that we could do this. Every person that placed money in a tin, put money into the foundation, donated prizes and time, or simply noticed Debbie and gave her a smile.
Words will never say enough. All we can say is thank you. Thank you so much for everything you have done.
Grafton is such an amazing community and it's when these things happen we really do stand together.
Don't think about yesterday, don't wait for tomorrow, say what needs to be said today. Tell those you love what you feel. Don't leave it until you have no time.
Deb's Fight for Parkinson's took those 10 seconds and spoke, and you, the community, listened and responded.
And that is why we say, "Thank you, thank you to everyone. We love you."
