Gympie Massage & Rehabilitation, as the name implies focuses on Remedial Therapy - which combines the following techniques to effect healing change and pain free movement.
TECHNIQUES: Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports injury management, myofascial release and trigger point therapy. Adding to that as required is structural balancing, which uses MET [Muscle Energy Techniques] to realign the spine and pelvis. Certainly, this technique is gentler than those that focus on forcing the bones to move against the constraints of tight muscles.
Lastly, there is dry needling into the trigger points, which is gaining wide spread acceptance. Personally, I prefer a more hands on approach, but I do use dry needling if it seems to offer an improved outcome.
It is rare that the aforementioned methods don’t produce long term improvement; however, on those occasions I offer the specify exercises which do produce significant change – for the better.
