150th Grafton Show to feature pet show

THE 150th Grafton Show will have some of the smaller animals represented this year as well, thanks to the Grafton Lions Club, who will stage the Pet Show event.

According to club president, Hayley Preston, the idea was too good to miss for this very special 150th Show.

"The club thought the Show Society idea had merit and it will mean that money we raise will go towards our hospital fundraising program, so the whole community will benefit," she said.

"Entering is easy and quick, simply pick up an entry form at All for Men Menswear or at the Grafton Show office and pay the $5 entry fee and you are an Exhibitor." Age limit is under 12.

"As an exhibitor you will receive free entry into the Showground for the event."

The Show will have four categories, large dog, medium dog, small dog, and other. These could be your pet blue tongue, tortoise or other different species.

Judging will be done by well known Grafton pet owners and there will be prizes for first, second third and fourth place. Runner-up prizes are also planned over a range of categories.

"So we encourage all who have pets to consider an entry and help Lions raise money for the hospital," Haley said.
