18 month old bitten by dog on Coast street

A COAST toddler has been bitten by a dog in a suburban street today.

The 18-month-old boy was bitten shortly before midday today.

The attack happened at Cobbs Road, Woombye.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the dog had been secured and the toddler left in the care of his parents, after being treated for minor injuries.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the matter had been left with the Sunshine Coast Council for now and police would only be involved if required later.
