22 year-old man assaulted on Prince St

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted on Prince St in the early hours of Monday morning.

A 22 year-old male who is understood to have been visiting Grafton for the Bridge to Bridge ski race was assaulted while walking between pubs at about 12.10am on Monday.

Inspector Murray Gillett from Grafton Police said the man did not have serious injuries.

But the male perpetrator remains unidentified and police are trying to establish his identity.
