Asylum-seeker charged over fatal double stabbing

ASYLUM-seeker has been charged over a double stabbing which left one man dead and another with serious injuries in Sydney's west this week.

The 35-year-old Iranian national was allegedly living at Auburn on a bridging visa when he attacked two men aged 41 and 26.

The older man died in hospital.

Police interviewed the accused on Thursday night with the help of an interpreter.

He was charged with murder and wounding with intent to murder.
