Essendon bracing for Andrew Dillon's decision

AFL: Fifth-placed Essendon may not find out whether it will lose premiership points as a result of the ASADA drugs investigation before this year's finals.

Speaking at Melbourne Airport after arriving back in the country yesterday, CEO Andrew Demetriou said it was up to AFL general counsel Andrew Dillon to advise the AFL commission what the next step in the process should be, after ASADA handed down its interim report on Friday.

"With the best intent, I think it would be appropriate if we could (make a decision before the finals), but if we can't, it will be what it will be," Demetriou said.
