Far North Coast blitzes the field in Country pointscore
FAR North Coast has taken out the Country Pointscore at the NSW Surf Life Saving Interbranch Championships held on the Central Coast.
Tough conditions at Soldiers Beach tested the skills of the state's top surf sports competitors.
Far North Coast finished on 1052 points, ahead of South Coast on 737.
"Far North Coast is having its strongest year ever and we are so happy to have travelled so far and be doing so well," open board rescue winner Ellie Leaver said.
The Far North Coast had many notable performances, including female team captain Nadi Canning taking out the open female surf ski and third in the open ironwoman, while male captain Jarrad Cain was second in the open ironman.
