Aircraft makes emergency landing after problems mid-air
A QANTASLINK Dash-8 made an emergency landing in Tamworth on Sunday evening after it took off from Coffs Harbour Regional Airport bound for Sydney.
A problem with the aircraft's hydraulic pump led the crew to divert the flight to the Tamworth Regional Airport.
Police, NSW Fire and Rescue and NSW Ambulance paramedics were tasked to the tarmac as the aircraft landed safely without incident around 6.30pm.
"QF2117, operating from Coffs Harbour to Sydney, experienced a minor hydraulic issue and was diverted to Tamworth," A Qantas spokeswoman said.
Passengers endured a short wait in the terminal before another aircraft was used to complete the flight to Sydney.
