Always the bridesmaid for Relay for Life

IF you've got some terrifying taffeta in the back of your cupboard, the Yamba Skin Clinic Relay for Life have got an event to bring it back to brilliant.

They are holding a bridesmaids-themed night at the Bottom Pub in Maclean from 6.30pm this Friday, November 4, and the dress code is the puffier the better.

"The idea is to get dressed up, and have a bit of fun in some hideous bridesmaid dresses," organiser Natalie Le Breton said.

"We'll have games and prizes on the night for the best dressed and the matron of dishonour as well."

The night will contribute towards Yamba Skin Clinic's Relay For Life fundraising, and Natalie said they were keen to contribute to the community.

"We really want to be involved in the community. We always have fun to do things together as a work team, and this lets us contribute towards something that's important in our workplace and close to lots of our hearts," she said.

Tickets are $25 and available from Yamba Skin Clinic, or at the door with booking advised for numbers. There is a glass of bubbly on arrival, finger food and entertainment from singer Dennis Wilson.

And one last fashion tip from Natalie: "When you put your hairspray on, if it crystallises, you're good."
