Amble Inn staff threatened with shotgun during armed robbery

POLICE are continuing their investigations following the armed robbery of the Amble Inn at Corindi Beach on Wednesday night.

It's believed a male and a female staff member were at the Amble Inn shortly after closing up at 9pm when it's alleged two men who had their faces concealed smashed a glass door and ran inside armed with a shotgun.

The male staff member was threatened while the pair demanded cash.

The male staff member handed over money before the two men left the scene.

Nobody was injured and no shots were fired.
