Maclean High proves too strong again in DEX netball final

A DOMINANT team performance led Maclean High to a big win in the Daily Examiner netball final on Tuesday afternoon.

Maclean secured their fourth title in five years on the back of an impressive 42-18 victory over Grafton High School.

While it would be easy to praise her team, Maclean High coach Tania Kane saved a lot of credit for Grafton's performance.

"Our opens team dominated from the outset and never looked like losing," Kane said.

"I have to give some credit to Grafton High. It was a very friendly game and they never gave up. They kept trying until the end."

Maclean's Samantha Kerr showed why she was named player of the series; Abby Weir was a standout in attack, and Nirvarna Makings was enormous in defence.
