$100,000 Maclean lottery winner

ONE lucky Maclean resident has a bit of extra money for the races today after winning $100,000 in yesterday's NSW Lotteries $2 Jackpot Lottery draw.

The winner, who wished to remain anonymous, purchased their ticket from the Maclean Newsagency, which a staff member said had a history of supplying winning tickets.

"We've sold several large ones," the staff member said.

"There's been a few between the last major one and this one. We sold the jackpot when it went off last time, $10.5 million, which was about 12 months ago.

"We've just had a couple of others throughout the year, but nothing beats $10.5 million."

The staff member said it was obvious the store had enjoyed a run of good luck, but wasn't sure if lottery ticket buyers should read anything into it.

"There's a couple of lady lucks in this shop," she said. "But I don't think it really matters where you buy your ticket, if you've got the luck, you've got the luck."
