$250,000 for Christmas

By ADRIAN MILLER

GRAFTON Shoppingworld Newsagency appears to be the place to buy your lottery tickets if recent events are anything to go by.

On Wednesday night a lucky Grafton resident took home a cool $250,000 after sharing the Lotto jackpot with a Mudgee resident.

The Grafton winner took home the prize after buying a 14 game standard entry ticket.

The win comes soon after another winner claimed $10,000 from a $2 jackpot ticket bought at the same store.

Newsagency shop assistant Krystie Larsen said the winner was ecstatic with the win in the lead up to Christmas.

"It's certainly not a bad Christmas present, I'd definitely be happy with that," she said.

The registered Grafton player was contacted by NSW Lotteries on Wednesday night and informed of the win, but Lotteries officials are still searching for the Mudgee winner.

Mrs Larsen said although the store had plenty of winners in the past, she was hopeful of more.

"It has been pretty lucky, but it's got to get luckier though," she said.

"I want to sell a really big one like $32million New Years Eve, that's really lucky."

Mrs Larsen said even though she had seen many winners, she still hadn't picked up any tips on how to win.

"If there were any ways to win I wouldn't still be here," she laughed.

"I wish there was an easy way to win it, but my view is if you're in it you've got a chance and if good karma comes up then good on you, but there is no simple way to win Lotto."
