A show Yamba will not forget

AUSTRALIA'S favourite x-rated vaudevillians, Machine Gun Fellatio, brought their sexuallycharged live show to Yamba on Wednesday night, reminding people why there is no other band like them.
If you arrived at the Yamba Golf Club auditorium early, you could have been forgiven for thinking the night was going to be like any other live show.
Australia's newest darlings of the airwaves, Thirsty Merc, were doing their best to amp up a half-filled room with their epic rock, but most of the early arrivals chose to watch from the sides.
But when the band launched into its latest single 'Someday', a mostly female contingent filled the floor in front of the stage and got the room moving for the first time of the night.
Then everything got kinky and strange.
The 400-strong crowd was entertained by a video collage of bizarre porn films during the 30minute band changeover.
And when MGF did finally hit the stage, they came packed with the raunchy pyrotechnics that are their trademark.
With more costume changes than a highly caffeinated Kylie Minogue, singer Pinky Beecroft and his menagerie cavorted around the stage to the sounds of the band's energetic electronic rock.
Those who hadn't seen MGF in action before were quickly introduced to the live spectacle they deliver with Beecroft singing from the top of a speaker within seconds of arriving on stage.
'Motherf****r on a Motorcycle' got the crowd jumping but then again, so did the occasionally exposed pair of breasts.
The band's show was best symbolised by the late decision of one of the guitarists to play the rest of the gig naked.
MGF came to Yamba to entertain and let it all hang out, and there's no doubting they did both extremely well.
