Another successful season

LOWER Clarence Rowing Club has had another very successful rowing season.

On Sunday, March 19, at the end of the South Grafton High School-hosted regatta, final point scores were tallied and trophies awarded to clubs within the Northern Rivers Rowing Association.

Lower Clarence Rowing Club collected trophies for three categories, Youth, Junior and Intermediate point scores.

All rowers have been performing well in their respective age categories and should be proud of their efforts.

Individual rowers recognised from Lower Clarence Rowing Club were Keryn Saunders for Masters Women's Sculling and to Nicole West for NRRA Overall Pointscore and the Clarence River Gold Cup for 2005/06.

This inaugural trophy was donated to the NRRA by Arthur Marsh and is awarded to the sculler for Open 2000m point score.

This is the second consecutive year Nicole has won this trophy since it was donated and if she is successful in winning it for the next season, she will become the proud owner.

The club is very proud of these two women's whose dedication; training and hard work has certainly paid off.
