Artsfest lures Weekly editor

EDITORIAL Director of The Australian Women's Weekly Deborah Thomas will be guest speaker for Grafton Artsfest's fundraising luncheon at the Grafton Community Centre on Friday, June 17.

The luncheon is held every year to assist Artsfest to cover the huge administration costs associated with organising this successful cultural event twice a year.

This year, the funds will be directed towards the expenses involved in bringing two international tutors to Grafton to teach at Artsfest in September.

Ms Thomas is hardworking, passionate about magazines, dedicated to the task at hand, and a great team player. In 2002, at the annual Magazine Publishers of Australia Awards, she received the highest accolade ? Editor of the Year.

Tickets are $40 a head. Bookings can be made off the floor plan at the Book Warehouse, Prince Street, Grafton.
