Blow to Magpies

By TONY WHITE

LOWER Clarence captain-coach Jason Hebbard will miss tomorrow's clash with Casino at New Park after suffering a fractured larynx.

Hebbard sustained the injury following a high tackle in the Magpies 21-20 win over Marist Brothers last week.

"I went to hospital on Wednesday, it's not good," Hebbard said.

"I'm not sure how long I'll be out until I see a specialist in Coffs Harbour on Wednesday."

The player responsible was placed on report but no further action has been taken.

"I'm not real happy about it," Hebbard said.

Centre Arron Murray, last week's hero after scoring two tries and the winning field goal, will also miss the match with a knee injury.

The Magpies stocks have risen, however, with former Coffs Harbour player Gavin Galvin making his debut for the club at fiveeighth after recovering from a medial ligament tear in his knee.

He incurred the injury in a water ski accident over Christ- mas.
