BMX riders on their marks

SET yourselves ... riders ready ... watch the lights ... beep, beep, beep.
This will be the call riders will be hanging on at this weekend's Clarence Valley BMX Club Jacaranda Open BMX meeting.
More than 130 riders from as far as Sydney and Nerang in Queensland will be vying for a slice of the $3700 purse of trophies and prizes.
The highly competitive Pro class promises some spectacular riding as riders compete for a prize purse valued at $1500.
As a prelude to Sundays event a club meeting will be run today to enable riders to familiarise themselves with resurfacing and track changes.
With riders in Jacaranda meet ranging from 4 years to over 50 the whole family is sure to enjoy the two wheeled action on the fast and challenging Abbott Street circuit.
Families are encouraged to attend this special meeting which will commence on Sunday at 8am with a barbecue breakfast at the track.
Full canteen facilities will be available with organisers planning to run the meeting rain, hail or shine.
