Board of Studies heaps high praise on Cathedral School

"EQUAL to the best."

So said the Board of Studies inspectors during their recent visit to The Cathedral School, Grafton, as part of a registration and accreditation process undertaken by all independent schools in New South Wales.

In granting registration, the inspectors singled out TCS's Kindergarten to Year 6 program as 'equal to the best we have seen'.

TCS principal, The Reverend Chris Ivey, said this wonderful affirmation came after months of hard work by all staff at the school to ensure their work programs, reporting processes, and assessment schedules were providing the very best opportunities for all children.

All independent schools must comply with new legislation, making them more accountable, and Rev Ivey said TCS's 27 teaching staff and parent body were very proud of the fact that the school excelled in every aspect of this process.

This followed some exceptional results in the statewide tests undertaken by all students in Years 3, 5 and 7, where TCS students again doubled the state average of students in the top bands.
