Caring for the carers

AIR-CONDITIONERS and wheelchairs will be some of the equipment purchased by the Clarence Valley Palliative Care Committee after an $11,000 donation by Grafton Midday Rotary.

Committee member Bill Dougherty said the funds, raised at the annual charity auction, would be a great help to the organisation.

"We're absolutely delighted because this donation not only at- tracts interest to the organisation but will also fill a big hole in our budget needs," he said.

"It will also help pay the travelling expenses for our volunteers ... who are from all over the Valley."
