Coming to pointy end

Coming to the pointy end of the Westlawn Finance Women's' Competition, last week's round was meatier than McDonalds, with many teams vying for a spot in the upcoming semis.

A grade's Demons Green dominated South 1, 6-0 with J Duroux and N Danvers scoring a double each, ably backed up by S Jackson and A Martin with one each.

If you photocopy your watch, will you have time to spare?

The Albion Angels outfit put on a top show against Grafton High Reds with their 4-0 win courtesy of some sound defensive work and some penetrating attack from J Bowe, C Cooper, W Jackson and L Pilbeam.

There was a classic tighter than Tom Jones' trousers tussle between Barbarians and Kylies Kaos with a 1-1 score card at the whistle, with goals from L Danvers and N McLennan.

F Davison from Video Ezy gets to wear the gorgeous hat-trick hat this week ? well done.

The O Level course is held over four hours at a cost of $20, while the Level 1 is run over several nights of two days, depending on the lecturer. The cost is $100.

Apologies go to any club who has emailed information in for this column in the last couple of weeks.

They have not been received due to the unfortunate 'passing away' of my computer. Please ring through your valued information on the number easily located in the phone book.

It is time for Vets players to jump aboard the 'Veterans Volkswagen' and indicate your interest in representing Grafton next year by notifying your team manager before the grand finals.

This week's sponsors on board are McLennan Earthmoving and McLennan Roofing. If you want, 'the earth moved under your feet', or if your 'roof has been on fire? (sing along), give the McLennan boys a call.
