Corindi man, 22, stabbed

COFFS Harbour detectives are looking for a 30-year-old male after a Corindi man was stabbed on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old Corindi resident had to be transferred to the Coffs Harbour Health Campus after he was stabbed in the abdomen, back, right arm and face.

According to police he also suffered a punctured lung in the attack. Yesterday he was reported to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Police said two men had been involved in an argument at a home in Red Rock Road just before midnight on Wednesday when the man was stabbed.

Police yesterday canvassed the Yarrawarra Aboriginal community as part of their investigations.

Police said they were now looking for the 30-year-old man who they believe can help them with their inquiries. Anyone who has information about the incident can call Coffs Harbour Police on 66520299.
