Coutts gets a dose of Mother?s Day fever

THE Coutts Cougar's Soccer Club has organised its annual Mother's Day fundraiser at the Coutts Crossing Tavern on Sunday.

The proceeds of the day will be shared between the soccer club, the appeal to buy a Heartstart defibrillator for the Coutts Crossing area and the sporting section of for the local school.

On Mother's Day last year $1850 was raised for the Westpac Helicopter.

The day will kick off at noon with entertainment provided by the Bostocks. There will be chocolate wheels, snow cones, a BBQ and an auction of sporting memorabilia including signed sporting gear, collector's items, sport's clothing and a limited edition Phar Lap framed print.

Spokesman Tim Keogh said: "The day is a wonderful opportunity for the soccer club to raise some funds while contributing to worthwhile projects in our community.

"We value our local school and we see the purchase of a defibrillator as being a very positive project for Coutts Crossing.
