Cyclist breaks leg in collision with 4WD



A 79-YEAR-OLD cyclist was taken to Grafton Base Hospital yesterday after a collision with a four-wheel-drive near Grafton High.

The collision occurred at around 4pm yesterday at the roundabout on Oliver and Mary streets.

Grafton ambulance officers said the Grafton man received a bad fracture to his lower leg and other minor injuries. The woman driving the car was not injured.

Police said members of the Ballina Crash Investigation unit would inspect the crash.

Traffic was diverted around the scene for a number of hours.
