THE legend that was Kenneth Alfred (Linky) Gordon will be solemnly remembered this Monday in South Grafton following his recent passing. The service to be conducted at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bent Street is expected to be attended by between 2000-3000 mourners paying their respects to a man whose cultural knowledge earned him the indigenous name Murigandart or 'clever man'. Known to his family as 'uncle Linky' Ken was a highly respected elder of the Bundjalung and Gambaingeri tribes and renowned for his cultural knowledge and wisdom. Ken's wife of 43 years, Pauline, said Ken was well known and respected throughout Bundjalung country. Ken's daughter, Michelle, reflected lovingly on her father's memory, saying the family was privileged to have had his wisdom and cultural knowledge in their lives. n Continued: P3
