Full house at Yamba

By ADRIAN MILLER

YAMBA is buzzing this summer, so much so that caravan park operators have turned people away.

Calypso Caravan Park manager Karen Toms said the full-house sign had been up for weeks and there was no indication that demand would drop off.

"We've been fully booked every night since Boxing Day, and are turning at least 20 people or more away every day who haven't booked," she said.

Blue Dolphin Holiday Resort manager David Mitchell, said the resort had been at capacity for weeks, and would be for a couple more.

"You don't start getting vacancies until the end of January," he said.

"The last two weeks, where it's still holidays but not the peak times, is the mark of how you do over the whole school period," he said.

Manager of Yamba Waters Top Tourist Park Jo Mitchell said the season had been busier than usual.
