GRAFTON High tackle Picnic Point (Sydney) at the Grafton Basketball Centre today for a place in the final 20 of the NSW CHS Basketball Knockout competition.

The talented Grafton lads, stacked with Viking and representative players, won their third straight North Coast Championship defeating Melville High 65-63 to earn a place in the fifth round of the annual competition.

Previously Grafton defeated Bellingen 70-35 in round one, Coffs Harbour Senior College 80-20 and Woolgoolga 65-40.

If Grafton, coached by Craig Howe, are successful they travel to the Blue Mountains to take on Winmalee for a place in the final 16 series next week.

In 2004 Grafton made it into the final 16 before being beaten by Westfield Sports High and last year were beaten in round five after winning the North Coast Championships.

Unfortunately star player Hamish Denshire will miss today's match with a broken wrist.

The likes of the Parbury brothers, Dylan, a zone representative and senior Grafton Viking player, younger brother Levi, also a senior Viking, zone reps Declan and Huan Collie and Thomas Ellem a zone, North Coast and senior Viking, will have a strong impact on the result.

Grafton squad: Ashley Doyle, Dylan Parbury, Levi Parbury, Simon Fletcher, Sam Wicks, Declan Collie, Huan Collie, Thomas Ellem, Adam Spies, Ryan Spies and Sean Traby.

The game will tip-off at 10am.
